Agencies typically charge $2,000 to $7,000 to build a custom AI receptionist, plus $300 or more a month. Botlery is run by founder Rohail Nisar with a small team of freelance developers, which is why the same kind of build costs roughly 80% less.

FAQ

Pricing questions, answered

How much does a Botlery AI chatbot cost?

A Botlery AI chatbot costs $10 a month or $100 a year fully managed, or $200 one-time if you want it built on your own accounts. On the managed plan, the chatbot runs on Botlery's accounts: we host it, pay the AI usage costs, maintain it and update your prices or services when you email us the change, and you can cancel anytime. Paying yearly gives you two months free. With the $200 one-time build, we set the chatbot up on your own accounts, so you own it outright and pay only your own AI usage, billed to you directly by your providers (not Botlery) in proportion to use, so a quiet month may cost only a few dollars and a busy one more. Either way we do the building, training and installing, and you can start managed and switch to owning it later by paying the one-time price. There is no payment until you have tested a free working demo.

How much do Botlery's AI voice agent and AI phone agent cost?

Botlery's AI voice agent and AI phone agent cost $300 one-time each, built on your own accounts. The voice agent talks out loud with visitors on your website; the phone agent answers your actual business phone line, and we set up the phone number for it. There is no monthly fee to Botlery and no per-minute or per-caller fee from Botlery, so a busy month adds only the extra minutes on your own provider bill. Because the agent runs on your own provider accounts, you pay only your own usage, billed to you directly by your AI and phone providers (not Botlery) in proportion to minutes used, so a quiet month may cost only a few dollars and a busy one more. You own the agent, the accounts and the data, and it keeps working whether or not you stay in touch with us. For one-time builds we fix anything that breaks in the first 30 days after handover free, and after that we quote a flat rate before any work.

Are there ongoing costs after buying a Botlery agent one-time?

The only ongoing cost after a one-time Botlery build is your own usage, paid directly to the providers the agent runs on, not to Botlery. That is billed to you directly by your AI and phone providers (not Botlery) in proportion to minutes used, so a quiet month may cost only a few dollars and a busy one more. Botlery charges no monthly fee, no per-minute fee and no per-caller fee on one-time builds. Support is included for 30 days after handover: anything that breaks in that time, including problems caused by provider or API changes, is fixed free. After 30 days we are still available, and we quote a fair flat rate before doing any fix or change, so you always decide first. If you would rather have one predictable bill that covers usage and maintenance, the managed chatbot plan at $10 a month does that.

Does Botlery charge anything before the demo?

No. Botlery charges nothing before you have seen your agent work, and no card is needed to start. For an AI chatbot, voice agent or phone agent, we build a working demo trained on your real services, prices and policies, send you the link, and you test it as a customer would. You pay only if you decide to keep it; if it is not right, you owe nothing. Automation projects follow the same principle in a slightly different form: the quote is free and fixed before any work, we build it, you test it on your own data, and you pay once it works as agreed. If you hire through Upwork, Upwork's escrow holds the agreed payment and releases it only when you approve the work. Payment terms and refunds are set out in our Terms of Service.

Why is Botlery cheaper than an AI agency?

Botlery is cheaper than an AI agency because there is no agency overhead to pay for. Agencies typically charge $2,000 to $7,000 to build a custom AI receptionist, plus $300 or more a month, because the price carries sales teams, account managers, project managers and offices. Botlery is run by founder Rohail Nisar with a small team of freelance developers, and Rohail works directly with each business owner, which is how the same kind of build comes to $200 or $300 once, roughly 80% less. The one-time builds also run on your own accounts, so there is no platform margin on your usage. Being cheaper does not mean you take more risk: you test a free working demo first and pay only if you want to keep it, which puts the risk on us rather than on you.
