Botlery is a small team of freelance developers. We build AI chatbots, voice agents and phone agents for small local service businesses, and we build yours before asking you for anything. We are not an agency, and the difference shows up in the price
An agency has salespeople, account managers, project managers and an office, and all of that is inside the quote. That is why a custom AI receptionist from an agency typically runs $2,000 to $7,000 to build plus $300 or more a month to keep.
We are developers working directly with business owners. The person who talks to you about your agent is the person who builds it. There is no handover, no subcontractor, and nothing routed through someone who has never seen your business. That is the entire reason the same work costs $200 or $300, once.
How we actually work
- You tell us about the business. What you do and don't take on, roughly what common jobs cost, your service area, your hours, how you want to hear about leads. A conversation is enough; there is nothing to prepare.
- We build a working agent and send you the link. Not a mockup or a slide deck — a live agent trained on your real services and prices that you can talk to as though you were a customer.
- You try to break it. Ask it awkward questions, try to book something you don't offer, call it at midnight. Tell us where it sounds wrong.
- You decide. If you want to keep it, you pay once and it is yours. If you don't, you have lost nothing but the conversation. We do not take payment up front, ever.

No per-minute meter, no per-caller fee, and nothing extra when you have a busy month. On a one-time build the agent runs on your own provider accounts, so your only ongoing cost is your own usage — typically a few dollars a month, paid directly to the provider rather than to us. What we are not going to pretend
We are a young business. We are not going to show you a wall of logos we do not have, invent review counts, or claim a client list we cannot stand behind.
